Our Story

It started with a stone she found on the ground in China.

The Stone

LU had always been the kind of person who trusted logic. A designer by training, she believed in what could be measured, explained, and proven. That was before a trip changed everything.

In 2018, while traveling through China, she came across a stone — not in a shop, but on the ground. It was unusually beautiful, the kind of thing you pick up without thinking and slip into your pocket. She kept it.

Later that trip, she found herself in a moment she still doesn't fully explain — something that shook her. And instinctively, she reached for that stone, the way you reach for something solid when the ground shifts. Whatever happened next, she walked away safe. And she walked away different.

She's not saying the stone saved her. She's saying she can't say it didn't.

The Shift

LU came home to California with that stone and a question she couldn't let go of: what if the things we dismiss as superstition are just things science hasn't caught up to yet?

She started reading about the traditions behind natural stones — not the Instagram version, but the old ones. How cultures across centuries have carried certain stones for protection, clarity, or grounding. Not as magic, but as intention. A quiet ritual of choosing something from the earth and keeping it close.

As a designer, she saw something else too: natural stones are genuinely, impossibly beautiful. The inclusions, the banding, the irregular shapes — these aren't flaws. They're what happens when nature works without a blueprint.

The Beginning

In 2019, the first Kinsoul Energy bracelet was made on her kitchen table. She sourced baroque pearls that refused to be round, agate with visible layers of geological time, amethyst with cracks that caught the light. She strung them by hand on elastic cord, paired them with sterling silver details, and wore the first one herself.

A friend asked about it. Then another. Then someone asked if she could make one for a gift.

Kinsoul Energy became a brand before it had a name.

Kinsoul Energy

The name came naturally. "Kin" for connection — to the earth, to yourself. "Soul" for what you carry inside. "Energy" for what every natural stone quietly holds.

Three words, one belief: there is something real in what comes from the ground.

Today

What started on LU's kitchen table is now a team of five, working from a small studio in California. LU still designs every piece — choosing the stones, composing the arrangement, deciding which materials belong together and which don't.

The rest of the team handles hand-assembly, quality checks, and packaging. Every bracelet is made one at a time, inspected before it ships, and arrives with a certificate of authenticity.

Five people. One studio. One bracelet at a time.

What We Believe

We don't promise that stones will change your life.

But we do believe that choosing to wear something natural, something handmade, something with a story behind it — says something about who you are.
