LU had always been the kind of person who trusted logic. A designer by training, she believed in what could be measured, explained, and proven. That was before a trip changed everything.
In 2018, while traveling through China, she came across a stone — not in a shop, but on the ground. It was unusually beautiful, the kind of thing you pick up without thinking and slip into your pocket. She kept it.
Later that trip, she found herself in a moment she still doesn't fully explain — something that shook her. And instinctively, she reached for that stone, the way you reach for something solid when the ground shifts. Whatever happened next, she walked away safe. And she walked away different.
She's not saying the stone saved her. She's saying she can't say it didn't.
